Our concrete services can include observation of concrete batching equipment, trucks and curing process as well as slump monitoring and fresh concrete testing.  We have the capability to provide either review of your mix designs for conformance to ACI 318 requirements or we can provide batch confirmation testing, including relevant aggregate tests. Our lab manager has over 5 years experience and has ACI Strength Certification.

  • Lab trial batches including Time Set, Linear Shrinkage and Alkali-Silica Reactivity
  • Aggregate confirmation testing including Sieve Analysis, Minus #200 Decant, Sulfate Soundness, LAA, Sand Equivalent test, Organic Impurities, Clay Lumps and friable particles
  • Batch Plant Observation
  • Field Testing and Observation including slump, air content, unit weight, compressive and flexural strength testing
  • Precast Concrete Batch Plant Observation
  • Rebar and Post-Tension Cable Placement
  • Post-Tension Cable Stressing Observation
  • Installation observation of anchor bolts or epoxy dowels
  • Tensile (pull) load test on anchors or bolts
  • Reinforcing steel location in existing structures by pachometer or Ferroscan
  • Non-Destructive Concrete testing by Windsor Probe or Schmidt Hammer
  • Thickness of Fresh Concrete by TxDOT method
  • Compressive Strength testing with printer, TxDOT Method
  • Roller Compacted Concrete Mix Designs, compression specimens using vibratory hammer & Vebe Testing for unit weight
  • Roller Compacted Concrete Field Testing and Observation including compression specimens with vibratory hammer
  • Floor Moisture testing by certified technician
  • Precast Plant observation by PCI Level II technician
